Project Description: Implementation of an Online Survey on Climate Beliefs, Attitudes, and Behaviors in Europe & Central Asia

This project involves conducting an online survey across 12 countries in Europe and Central Asia to assess climate-related beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors. The survey will employ two methods: Computer-Assisted Web Interviews (CAWI) and Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviews (CATI), with sample sizes of 800 respondents per country.

Data Collection Methodology by Country:

  • CAWI (web-based interviews) will be used in Poland, Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Turkiye.
  • CATI (phone interviews) will be conducted in Moldova, Albania, Kosovo, Georgia, Armenia, Bosnia.

Despite tight deadlines, the the team is committed to completing the survey as per the terms of reference (TOR). 

Data collection will be managed through the CAPI application, which was successfully used in previous World Bank projects. The World Bank team have real-time access to survey data and progress via the CAPI dashboard.

Sample Distribution: The sample for each country is based on NUTS-level regional definitions and the adult population distribution.
